Everybody knows about the wise and wealthy Silbamonds, but beneath them are three great houses, powerful in Vestria in their own right, they have courtiers present at the Celestial Court.
House Delegraz holds the Duchy of Ostal, Vestria's eastern third. Their sigil is a burning tree. Duke Szarab is a soft-spoken man with a propensity for mud wrestling and naked hiking. He's the firmest supporter of the Dual Monarchy.
Delegraz are most fixated on strength and glory. In war, the Marshall is usually from House Delegraz and they are the most vocal about a "Vestrian Empire." After campaign, they will usually suggest a very certain course of action like it were a milk run, "While we're at it, we could take some more land, you know." They are distrustful of outsiders with the exception of Khrom, as their proximity has put them the most in contact with the brothers beyond the border. They really like mountain climbing.
House Orlock holds the fertile lands of the Duchy of Sutherland. Their sigil is a bicorn head. Their seat is Coa City. Duke Pasha can be most efficiently described in four words: old, bald, fat and ugly. He subscribes to the primacy of the King and wants the Lunatics to play a "more subtle and softer" role. Lord Pasha was the most generous benefactor of King Keheerathn I.
House Orlock is responsible for the stewardship of Vestria's breadbasket and they take great pride in their sedentary lifestyle, even despite their colloquial moniker, "The Horse Lords." They often throw lavish feasts and always try to one-up Praven.
House Tulmar holds the Duchy of Kourland, which is bisected by the crown lands. Their sigil is a seagull. Their seat is the city of Saint Yuellasburg. Duke Mekel is the King's cousin-in-law, so it's said he's got a spark of Silbamond brilliance. He's charismatic and forward-thinking and owns a third of the mercantile ventures in his city. House Tulmar has earned a reputation for being restless explorers and dream of a bustling harbour of goods from all the cities of Drugoyvia. They admire the Ibesh fleet and try to emulate their seamen, albeit with mixed results.
