Following the international meeting to establish the Free City of Shimeji in which Fanhorim-Dûr was in attendance represented by Eravin Regren, it has been decided by the council of that there should be a set individual as representing Fanhorim-Dûr in these matters as opposed to the Council of Seven drawing straws each time something of international import arises. To that end, Lyesril Arassulim has been chosen as the representative for Fanhorim to establish an embassy in Shimeji and be the Fanhorim voice on the international scale going forward. While there was some deliberation in choosing someone out of several candidates, it is believed Lyesril's skillset would make her the best fit for this role. It is yet to be seen how other nations will react to a woman among them as they see their own women as weak and demure. However, such a mindset could play to our advantage if they were to let their guard down where Fanhorim matters are concerned.
Lyesril herself is a charismatic mercenary who had been interested in trying for the role of Fighter Councillor. Outwardly she will be presenting as a purely non-combatant diplomat but we felt her fighting experience would prove useful should anything unsavory occur while abroad - especially when taking into account the presence from Rokkastan. Given recent events, neither they nor their Khrom-Vestria handlers can be fully trusted to not cause accidents. For added security and to maintain the image, Lyesril will be accompanied by a man of her choosing from among the fighters guild.
The council is very interested in establishing trade opportunities to boost our economy but remain wary of these monarchs. Lyesril is being entrusted with the task of ensuring Fanhorim-Dûr stays relevant but not to seem as a target for any manner of aggressions. Many of the Coincil are also relieved to be free of the obligation of attending meetings so their own matters in the homeland can continue uninterrupted.
