We are blessed by the land in Fanhorim-Dûr and take opportunities to rejoice in our good fortunes throughout the year by holding festivals. These are a time of merriment and are met with enthusiasm and celebration by the people with decoration, singing, dancing, and feasting, among other holiday-specific traditions.

The Festival of Ljoroth is held each turn in the spring to celebrate the end of winter and return of spring, marked by the blooming of the tulips. People decorate with flowers everywhere - especially tulips. There's events like creating large community murals and quilts. Everyone dresses in colorful clothing and hangs colorful banners everywhere.

During Veggog we celebrate the escape from our captors and founding of Fanhorim-Dûr over the span of several days. There are many competitions held to prove yourself such as rowingup the Jacstow, climbing Fanail, archery, and chicken racing. It's about the only time of the turn when people enjoy frok - a delicacy made from milk, ice stored in winter and saved for Veggog, and other sweet goods such as berries or honey.

During the Day of Alvlarth we remember those who have passed. It takes place in autumn as the leaves turn color, signalling the passing of the turn as well. We respect those who came before and think on new beginnings. Trees are planted in honor of loved ones who have passed on. It's traditional to wear a new set of pajamas this night.

Vurth is by far our most popular celebration taking place in winter and spanning six days, starting on the winter solstice. Being a time where most have less to do due to the weather, the festival is greatly anticipated by many. While every day of Vurth is marked by feasting and general merriment, each day of Vurth has a large specific event tied to it. The first day of Vurth is the competition day - a competition is held for who created the largest single piece of produce for that year, and a snowball fight tournament. Second day of Vurth many people make great sculptures out of the impermanent winter materials - from modest children snowmen to large sculptures of ice made by a team. Following, a day with an emphasis on storytelling. Elders tell tales of eld, storycrafters weave new myths to crowds with their words, and friends and family retell old memories to one another. Following is market day, where all asortment of tradespeople and food stalls peddle their wears in Fanail Square - far more than on a usual market day. Rare and exotic crafted goods can be found easier here than at any other time. While the holidays of Fanhorim-Dûr often attract travelers from other lands, none so much as Market Day in Vurth. A day of gift giving comes next, where people exchange gifts with those they care for. Finally, closing off the grand holiday is a great bonfire and feast held all day long near Fanail square, where everyone says goodbye to the holiday and turn.
