Natural Landmarks:
Fanail: The large tree at the heart of Fanhorim-Dûr. Found when the original refugees from Emanisis had fled captivity, it is now our most revered and sacred landmark. Festivals are held around Fanail, there are climbing competitions to see who can go the highest and the tree is well tended by the Arborers from the Botany Guild.
Jacstow: The river running through Fanhorim-Dûr. Much of the Republic's commerce and prosperity is owed to the Jacstow river. A tour by boat would showcase the nation's innovative use of waterwheels for mechanical power.
Urngor: The name of the mountain in the center of Fanhorim-Dûr that Fanail sits upon.
Wystwood: The wood to the east of Fanhorim-Dûr, in the vale between Urngor and Sutherland. The dead are traditionally buried in Wystwood to nourish the trees there and help them grow. Some claim they've seen spirits and heard the screams in the night of those who have died restlessly.
Tiereld Forest: Forest on the isle west of the Fanhorim-Dûr Grand Port. Nothing spooky has ever happened here.
Stjora Varr: The Fanhorim name for the great ocean of Drugoyvia.
Aldrmond: A hellish land discovered in Turn 287. It is fraught with peril but has brought several new innovations to the Fanhorim, though they are loathe to share this state secret with the other nations.
City Districts:
Okkuminavis: The grand library of Fanhorim-Dûr and the heart of the Academy. The library was built into Urngor to better protect it's stores of knowledge from sunlight and moisture. The construction for the main library took 12 turns but has undergone near-constant renovation since to expand the wings. Copies of all the nation's knowledge can be found within Okkuminavis, accessible to those who know how to find it within it's vast catalogue. The library houses not only tomes but also historical works of art and educational objects such as crystals and maps. If one does manage to find a tome that does not have a copy housed within Okkuminavis, the Fanhorim would pay very well for it.
Staõrheim: The name given to the district just under Fanail's boughs. Much of the city's commerce and administration is located here. Notable buildings include the council discussion hall, the Arken Glin Exchange, and the country's largest tavern and inn, the Whimsical Bough.
Færødale: The district located at the southern base of Urngor. Home to the most prominent mine and a large number of craftspeople, the clanking of hammers and worksmanship can almost always be heard whilst traveling through Færødale.
Beírgard: Most plentiful agriculture district where the most of the nation's foodstuffs are grown and processed. The area has recently been devastated in turn 282 by a great plague that decimated the population of laborers that resided within the district. The area is in the mend but it will be awhile before our supply of goods in Beírgard has fully recovered.
